According to report of the public relations of the South Aluminum Corporation, with the will, perseverance and great efforts of Iranian specialists and youth, a record production of 520 anodes per day was recorded in the South Aluminum Corporation.

The anodizing unit of the South Aluminum Corporation includes the three main units of crude Anode, baking and roding.The raw materials of the anode include calcined petroleum coke, refined bitumen, coal tar, as well as the remaining anodes used in the reduction unit (bats).

The anode plays an essential role in the process of aluminum production and it is used in the reduction reaction of aluminum while transmitting electric current.

It is noteworthy that quality of the anode has a great impact on the quality of aluminum produced and its process. In fact, a good quality anode in the reduction cell facilitates the production process and ensures product quality.
