Safety is one of the main values in the South Aluminum Corporation, and in the performing of all activities and projects, the first priority is given to the principle that no one should be harmed.
To ensure the successful performing of the safety system in the entire organizational structure of the complex, the safety unit will make all its effort for developing and implementation of various guidelines, methods and procedures.
These methods and procedures have been developed in accordance with ISO 45001 with the aim of performing the work optimally. Safety performance statistics in recent years are the evidence of efforts and adherence of the South Aluminum Corporation to these principles.
SALCO safety unit continues its professional activities in accordance with domestic and international standards with its subsets including process safety team, risk assessment team and issuing safety licenses , safety shift inspection team and traffic control team.
Performance management in the safety unit
In the safety unit, all industrial processes are examined from a safety point of view and the risks arising from them are analyzed. In this survey, by determining the amount of potential risks, the required control and preventive strategies are designed and implemented. On the other hand, Before working safe and preventing accidents becomes a structure,it requires creating a safety culture, so one of the main goals of the safety unit is to create and spread a safety culture among all employees in order to achieve the safety goal, which is " Improving the safety level of employees ".
The safety unit in the company believes that in order to achieve an acceptable environment in terms of safety, it is necessary to meet the two basic requirements of the safety system, namely engineering activities and management measures that ultimately lead to a significant reduction in accidents , following planning should be performed.
Identify hazards, assess and reduce safety risks and hazards

Monitor the performing of rules, regulations, rules, guidelines and safety instructions
Record accident and quasi-accident reports, analyze them and provide preventive solutions
Supervise the proper performing of safety instructions and requirements that mentioned in subcontractors contract contractors
Identify hazards, safety defects,preparing report and provide appropriate solutions to problems
Supervise the preparation, distribution and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) of personnel based on work requirements and PPE matrix

Safety inspection
Safety inspections are performed to determine the extent and manner of safety considerations in the workplace and include a number of issues, including:
Compatibility of workplace conditions with safety considerations
execution of safety standards in the workplace
Existence and suitability of safety equipment
Investigate, report and analyze accidents
The team of safety unit inspectors works in four groups of three shifts in accordance with the safety inspection flowchart 24 hours a day and follow up to eliminate unsafe situations in workshops and units in accordance with the safety inspection instructions.

Safety culture is part of the overall culture that governs the organization which influences and directs members' behavior and attitudes about safety.
Efforts and measures taken to promote safety culture in the South Aluminum Corporation, has been able to play a significant role in reducing accidents also personal and financial losses, especially among operational personnel. The measures taken to promote safety culture are as follows:

General and specialized safety training appropriate to each activity
